You must be a professional writer who is skilled at all of the following – blogging about professional photography, doing online PR and capable of giving our readers an engaging experience. About 60% of your time will be spent blogging and building relationships, and the other 40% on Web-based PR.

Requirements:

5 years' experience in the photographic industry
Professional writer
Must have blogging experience, using Wordpress platform a plus
Excellent copyeditor and proofreader
Ability to manage complex PR projects over entire lifespan, plus report progress on timely basis daily and weekly

Bonus capabilities: SEO copywriting for PR
If you have your own network of PR contacts, this is a big plus
Experience with PRweb.com and other PR distribution methods is a plus
Current participation in social networking for the photographic industry - send us your Twitter and Facebook accounts for deeper evaluation
Strong skills in technical and educational writing about photographic subjects a big plus.

Duties:

Launching news/PR efforts around brand achievements, new products, upgrades, contests, press management/advisement to product managers, etc.
Maintaining our PR contact list and augmenting with your own plus growing it with new contacts.
Writing blog posts about brand announcements, upgrades, etc.
Creating new relationships with influential bloggers/social media influencers

Junior to mid-level Online/Web Assistant

We are looking for the right junior to mid-level Online/Web Assistant to join our web team and help our Webmaster with day-to-day web maintenance. The ideal candidate will assist in updating product information, events, dealers, web content and promotions for 13 of our websites. The ideal candidate will also assist with e-mail marketing, SEO, and other Search Engine Marketing tasks.

This position combines basic business skills with knowledge of Internet-based computer applications. Successful candidates should not only enjoy and be proficient at working in a technical environment, they should have the ability to work effectively with a team.

So if you have the technical know-how, a passion for precision, timeliness and strong, independent organizational skills, then this may be the place for you.

The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years experience performing the expected tasks below (except as noted).

Qualifications and Requirements include:

-Solid knowledge of Dreamweaver and text-based HTML editing
-Basic Photoshop Image Editing Skills
-Experience creating and maintaining HTML and CSS.
-Familiar with current Internet standards, including web browsers and browser specifications
-Keep current with emerging web technologies
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Good judgment to proactively and independently solve problems and make decisions
-Passion, Integrity and Energy.

The following skills are a plus:

-Experience in e-mail marketing
-Familiarity with web analytics
-Experience in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and PPC
-Strong ability for data management – accuracy and interpretation
-Organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects under tight deadlines
-Strong Mac OS X skills
