Photographers Who is MAC Group MAC on Campus Business Partners

Sales Teams

MAC Group has developed four core sales teams to service customers interested in our many brands. Together, they are capable of addressing any audience and disseminate information to satisfy any inquiry.

Field Sales Group
Our nationwide sales force and reseller network form the hub of MAC Group. Two sales vice-presidents and thirty sales representatives cover the United States and liaise with our extensive reseller network. These individuals have nurtured long-term relationships with dealers, local colleges and universities, professional photography studios and the media.

Possibly the most critical activity the reps perform is reseller training. They all require extensive product knowledge and our representatives provide that know-how to audiences large and small, regularly holding seminars for both dealers and their customers. Our reps and resellers must have a broad foundation of, and continue to add to, knowledge about all our products and brands.

E-Commerce Sales Group
To ensure our message is delivered and products are available to customers outside our direct line of influence, MAC Group also has a team of sales professionals working directly with e-commerce resellers.

By calling on these resellers directly, as well as on the distribution channels supplying them, we are able to reach broader audiences and expand into vertical markets. This sales group not only promotes the sale of the products, but also provides training and support for the e-channel including market specific incentive programs and promotion initiatives.

Additionally, MAC Group maintains a number of comprehensive e-commerce Web sites, each serving two purposes.

First, to provide the customer with as much information as possible about the products we offer. Many consumers research all purchases on the Internet. Through our sites, we help ensure the correct information is available to photographers at any time.

Second, there are many customers who do not shop in brick and mortar stores. Maintaining e-commerce Web sites is imperative to reaching the customers in the new markets we serve. Statistics show nearly 50% of photographic and graphic design equipment sales are made through channels other than traditional photo and graphic arts resellers.

Inside Sales Group
MAC Group's in-house sales department is trained in all products. In many cases, our associates have experience working as photographers while others possess skills enabling them to perform as a representative of the technical services department. It is this level of product knowledge and product competence that has won accolades from resellers around the country who compliment MAC Group on having the finest order department in the imaging business.

Dealers who are in remote areas of the country, or whose sales volume does not warrant frequent visits by our traveling sales representatives, are serviced monthly by an inside sales team with personal phone calls. In addition to having a thorough knowledge of each of our products, team members have a long-standing relationship with the outlying resellers and can track orders efficiently no matter where they are shipped.

Associates receive ongoing training and maintain a database of frequently asked questions so each associate can share the experiences of others. This benefits our customers by assuring fast and accurate product and application information.

Corporate Sales Group
Many corporate and catalogue companies have expanded their scope of operations to the point where MAC Group representatives call on them directly. These customers are large consumers of lighting equipment and related accessories, of medium format digital cameras and imaging tools. They maintain a complete start-to-finish control of photography through output.

These same customers produce their own graphic design, printing and production on a large volume basis. Examples of these clients are Coles, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Pottery Barn, and Target. MAC Group's line of color correcting systems, color calibration and equipment matching processes further underscores the need for a dedicated representative to service the unique keystone needs of these real world, high volume production environments.

Due to the technical nature of providing keystone solutions to these corporate clients, MAC Group has found some of our technical experts are the ideal individuals for dealing with these types of sales. By coming from a strong working knowledge of both our products and real world production environments, these salespeople are capable of satisfying this critical area of our customer base.
